6th Thought: Turn Left Turn Right Movie Review

Have you ever wondered who your true love is? Have you ever wondered where he/she is or when will you meet him/her? What if the man or lady of your dreams is just six feet away from you? Or maybe he/she is that guy/girl that you always pass by along the streets? Maybe it's your childhood friend? How about your childhood crush? We would never know but... What if?
What would you do? Will you be brave enough to face your crush and say, "I like you" and accept whatever response you get? How would you know that he/she is the one?

This movie review won't tell you how you can track your destined one. Neither will it tell you who it is, but I'm trying to get you be interested on the movie itself and make you watch it.

Warning: May contain spoilers.

Watched at the Audio-Visual Room of Asia Pacific College, Turn Left Turn Right, at my first glance, is a Chinese film taped in Taipei, Taiwan. Based on my research, it is actually a Hong Kong-Singaporean film and the first Chinese language Asian film ever produced and distributed by Warner Bros (so that's why it had Warner Bros. at the start... Now I know).
The film revolves around a male violinist John Liu starred by Kaneshiro Takeshi (Yes, you heard it right. He's Japanese.) and a female translator Eve Choi starred by Gigi Leung who are not acquaintances yet are near each other in almost all spots. The film didn't reveal their names but I mentioned their names for convenience. Thanks, Wikipedia!

I won't say much about the story. So I'll tell you how the movie was in my perspective.
This movie made me weep from the middle up to the end! You can say that I'm too emotional or too sensitive. I can't blame you for that because maybe it's true. Talk about personal reasons and experiences, but I can assure you that you can be irritated on how fate plays with them.Of course the extras to their love story are there to mess things up (just as how romance movies and lit works are). I know what you think, dear reader. Yes, just as how most romance works are, it ends up with a happy ending. BUT as the story goes, you'll get confused on how will it end. While watching it, you'll have these thoughts:

"Oh God! Is this the end of the film?! Please no! I want them to be together!"
"Just make them meet, *insert curse words*!"
"Ooooooow *insert curse words*! No, not that way!"

Or at least these are true for those not bitter people out there.

The film made my eyes swell out of crying because I don't like the fact that fate is always playful. Despite how playful fate may be, destiny will always make a couple meet and be together if they are destined for each other (and I cried yet again there).

So dear readers, please don't lose hope on love! You may think that no one will be interested on you, but it doesn't mean that you'll be forever alone. It's just not the right time yet for you. Patience is a virtue, remember? So wait for the right time for the right one to come for you. Destiny will find its way to make you and your "The One" meet.

I recommend you to watch this film for you to have more hope for your love life to prosper. Ready your handkerchief or tissue in case. :)

PS: The guy is so handsome and his voice is so alluring!

Oh wait! Oops, spoilers! HAHA!
