22nd Thought: Beyond the Boundary - I'll Be Here

HELLO, DEAR READERS!!!
Sorry for the word. Can't find a better anime meme.

It has been a long time since I last posted in this blog, huh. That’s because English term has come to an end, and currently, I’m in my third term here in college. I thought my days as a newbie blogger would end also, but no! Why? Because I found the goodness in being a blogger. No wonder why most of the renowned ladies like Alodia Gosiengfiao (Philippine Cosplay Goddess), Maine Mendoza (The Dubsmash Queen of the Philippines) and Kathryn Bernardo (one of the famous teen actresses here in PH) are bloggers.

Anyway, I went back on blogging for a movie review. February 10, 2016, Wednesday, I watched three animated films: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Kyoukai no Kanata: Kako Hen, and Kyoukai no Kanata: Mirai Hen. But in this post, I will talk about the Kyoukai no Kanata animated films.

21st Thought: SoM Speech Choir and Ignite Contest

December 22nd of 2015. This is the second and last day of SoM English term culminating activity. This day is the Speech Choir and Ignite Speech contest. This is the day we want to end. This is the day we don't look forward to. Why? Because once again, we will show the SoM students how unprepared we are. Woo! I feel like I'm about to lose confidence with myself on that day. Our speech choir performance was something not to be bragged about. So we have high hopes on our representatives for the speaking contests and on AC151 to take home the bacon. Just that and we're satisfied.

20th Thought: SoM Inter-class Public Speaking Contest

Oh God. December 21st of 2015. This is the first day of our culminating activity for the SoM English term. This is the Inter-class Public Speaking Contest, the competition for the SoM students' Public Speaking 2. Held at the APC Auditorium and organized by the English Resource Center and APC Speaks, this contest serves as "the only chance to make the impossible happen." What do I mean by that? I mean that whoever gets into the final round would have an excellent grade regardless of his/her daily performance throughout the term. Of course that would be the business there. That's why every speaker in this contest prepares themselves to their utmost capacities to get at least to the final round.

19th Thought: Edge of Tomorrow Movie Review

*Author's note/s: May contain spoilers.

Another movie review! God, I'm not really good at this kind of writing. It's really difficult to write a movie review without exposing some spoilers or without giving the exciting points of the movie. Now I know how hard it is for writers to write these kind of stuff. Today's the fourth day of the new year 2016 but I still haven't change. I'm still good at procrastination (lol). This would be the last movie review for the term (and tomorrow's the deadline so I said I'm good at procrastination) and hopefully, I would give more reviews of movies or series (most likely anime) I watched and games I finished. Did I make you excited? Haha!

As usual, it was a Friday and Friday means Film showing in EEP. We watched the movie Edge of Tomorrow starring the Mission Impossible lead star, Tom Cruise, and the assistant Emily of The Devil Wears Prada, Emily Blunt. The movie's catchphrase is "Live. Die. Repeat" as I have seen in our professor's DVD case. I was like, "Homahgahd what does that mean? It's not even the fantasy type. It's Sci-Fi and that's the catchphrase? Interesting." And that made my eyes glued to the movie.

18th Thought: The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall

Yet another day of having a change of course for the week! Another Friday of the term, December 4, 2015, arrived. That means another day of Film Showing in our EEP class!I thought we would be watching the second movie of Parasyte Live Action Movie. At the moment we stepped in the room, a vintage ambiance welcomed my senses. As usual, I hurried to get a seat from any of the first two rows and called Hanna over to seat near me. As the first scene unfolded which was an auction in the old times, Hanna became ecstatic exclaiming a set of "Oh my gosh!" for as many as I could remember. After some minutes, the title faded in:
"The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall"

17th Thought: Speak Sense Season 2

The APC Speaks in partnership with the APC Student Services (and the whole APC itself) held its second inter-high school public speaking competition namely Speak Sense Season 2. This competition was a morning event held last November 27, 2015, Friday at the APC Auditorium. From the background itself, Speak Sense Season 2 is a public speaking competition of students from the different high school institutions around Makati.

16th Thought: Seminar on Media Literacy

November 25, 2015, Wednesday, yet another day of classes... I was pretty much drowsy on that day. But who would have thought that all we got to do is attend a seminar and make a reaction paper on it (in GRAMCM) and a blog post about it (in EEP)? Now this is a change of course! (Of course in terms of daily life, not course as in college course lol)
So this seminar we attended is about Media Literacy with the theme "Mobilizing the Millennials as Socially Responsible Prosumers." This seminar is conducted in celebration of the fifth anniversary of The Rampage, the Asia Pacific College's (APC) official news magazine. It aims to develop sense of social responsibility among the attendees, and to create a discourse on media literacy among the APCians.
